Americans Helping the Japan Earthquake & Tsunami Survivors
We have started a project called "Fans for Japan" and we need your help. Please click on the fan banner for more information.
I've created this web site as a place where fund-raising events, news, support, stories, inspiration and ideas can be shared across America for the relief of the survivors of the Tohoku earthquake, tsunami and nuclear crisis in Japan.
I am Harusami, a half-Japanese American, born in northern Japan and now living in Denver, Colorado. As an artist, writer, web designer and spiritual counselor, it is now part of my humble mission to help my Motherland in any way I can.
I created the logo above, born in tears and hope... and inspired by the words of George Takei who said "We are all Japanese" during a CNN interview. "Kessoku" is the Japanese kanji character for "Unity," the red globe suggests the Japanese flag. 100% of profits raised from t-shirts and other items sold will be donated to Soul2Soul's Mercy Corps Japan Relief Fund.
As it takes many small drops of water to create an ocean, I hope each and every one of us can do our part to create an ocean of love, light, support and hope to assist Japan in rebuilding from these tragic events.
If you have a fund-raising event or know of one, please share it on our United for Japan facebook community page, please join us to learn about events in your area. I will also have a special page for events in the Colorado area.
Please make sure that your charitable contributions are going to legitimate organizations! You can find a list of organizations and ways to help
